Moving all of California's produce wasn't just a job for the Southern Pacific's PFE system! Three black and white zebra-striped Santa Fe SD-24s move a long train of perishables on our HO layout.

Fremont-bound Fast Ford flies past Fulda! This fascinating freight usually took the WP's own Feather River route, but it looks right at home here along the SP on our HO scale layout. The Fast Ford was a 1960s and 1970s-era train specifically run to serve the then-new Ford plant in Milpitas, California, helping bring reliable revenue to the Western Pacific.

Come see this train and many, many others at the Golden State Model Railroad Museum! We have three layouts in HO, N, and O scales filling our 10,000 square foot layout room - you have to see it to believe it!

Need power delivered? The Santa Fe has you covered! Two ATSF SD26s roll this "high and wide" marine engine through Pinole on our HO layout. And as an added bonus, today's the birthday of this famous blue-and-yellow warbonnet paint scheme! Before this, the Santa Fe kept the warbonnet for passenger units and used simpler blue and yellow schemes for freight.

Small but mighty, this DRGW C-19 pulls its narrow gauge freight train up the grades in the Sierra foothills. Our HO layout may be almost all standard gauge, but with such a huge space, there's plenty of room for a narrow gauge layout larger than many home railroads!

It's almost *too* easy to make some of our O scale trains look real! Two big GEs make light work of this string of covered hoppers on the lower loop of our O scale layout.

Maybe it's time to start putting up wires! This Caltrain EMU winds its way through Pinole on our HO layout, mirroring the route that the real cars actually took on their way into the Bay (though without a diesel locomotive's help this time!)
