STUDIO CLASSES | Tuesdays, Fridays 10-1pm, Select Saturdays 10-1pm. $45
In this 3-hour class instructor, Betsy Jacaruso will guide you in interpreting the landscape from photo reference to a successful composition. We will explore various watercolor techniques, color mixing, and value while encouraging each artist’s individual style and sensibility. VIRTUAL CLASSES | Wednesdays 1-2pm. $25/Sliding

In this 1 hour live demo, Betsy will take you through her process of interpreting the landscape from a photo. She will share her thoughts on composition, color mixing, and problem-solving to achieve a unified painting. Participants can paint along with the instructor or watch and paint after the live demo. An opportunity to ask questions will be provided. After the demo, students will receive a photo reference and recording along with an image of the completed painting. Starting Saturday during Sinterklaas daytime festivities… In addition to the larger curated program, Tripping Wilderness, Betsy Jacaruso Gallery will have its inaugural HAPPENING exhibition, the first of a series of pop-up art events. Starting Saturday, during the Sinterklaas festivities, the gallery will unveil a photography display of vintage and rare prints from the New York Times pre-digital-era collection.
