www.oldrhinebeck.org Our nonprofit features over 80 vintage aircraft and 33 historic automobiles from the Pioneer, WWI, and Golden Ages of aviation. Sunday's showcases our WWI collection, ending with a dogfight between the evil Black Baron and heroic Sir Percy Goodfellow. You can be a barnstormer in our open cockpit biplane, with rides before and after the Air Shows, and by reservation during the week May 1-Oct 31. See the historic Hudson Valley on an extended Lighthouse or Lighthouse and Mansion Tour.

Offers of hangar space, fuel, accommodations, dinner, and lot of good wishes (you also blew up Clay's phone)-all since the announcement that we'll be flying the NYP to Florida-aviation types are the best. We'll have a webpage live shortly to keep everyone up to date. Some answers to FAQs:

•The route is still being planned. Each flight will have several potential, and alternate fields to give the pilots maximum flexibility. Their plan is to complete the flight in as little time as is safe and practical. We are not able to accurately predict arrival in Lakeland.

•A chase plane will accompany the NYP with our Director of Aircraft Maintenance and vital spares.

•The airplane will overwinter at Sun'n Fun and fly during the event.

MYSTERY SOLVED!...by John Edgren and Adam Lilley. Our Spirit of St. Louis replica will be a headliner at Sun 'n Fun, "A World to See at 53," April 6-11. The best way to get it there is to fly the approximate 1250 miles from ORA to Lakeland in early November. We're figuring hops over several days. Can't wait to see the faces on the line boys when we pull up to the pumps. Clay Hammond the Andrew King will do the honors accompanied by a chase plane. WE WILL BE DOING VIDEO DOCUMENTATION-STANDBY. The reason for the early move is that our runway can be a sea of mud in April. Keep watching for info on how to visit the NYP in FL. And, another tease...it is a very remote possibility, but...
