Read the heartwarming story behind this 1967 Chevelle. This is what it's all about!

"In 1967 my cousin turned 19 and bought a 1967 Chevelle SS 396. It was butternut yellow with a vinyl roof and black interior. He had it about a month when he put Wait Until Dark on the car as its name. He would go with his friend at night and race their cars. Four months after that he was drafted and put into the canine dog bomb sniffing unit. He made it back home and the first thing he said was 'Where is my car?' Although none of us wanted to tell him, his mother finally told him it was stolen. He was devastated. His mom told him 'Save the money and buy another car.' He said 'It will never be THAT car.' He was always talking about Wait Until Dark. I did not see him for 18 years. In that time I found a car like his stolen one. I found it in upstate NY and bought it. It needed everything. I redid it, in and out, to be just like his old one all by myself. I did not have any help. He finally came to visit and I surprised him with the car. He had tears in his eyes and said 'My car.' I gave him the keys to drive it and told him to go wherever he wanted but the keys better come back and we laughed. I was so happy to see the big smile on his face! This is the reason my car says Wait Until Dark and I will never change it."
