For eight generations, Clara B. Thomas's family has worked Magna Vista Farm near Bristol, a Revolutionary War land-grant farm. The barns, horses, chickens, old roads, and changing seasons in her paintings are the ones outside her window every morning.

"My art developed from scenes that are part of my everyday life," Clara says.

This isn't a talk about farm life from somewhere else. It's her work, shown on the grounds where Tennessee started.
