Tweetsie Layout Update: a couple of quick updates on the ET&WNC layout from this past week.

~ First back towards Hampton and the start of Doe River Gorge, the framework for extending the mountain is now complete. With this done we can now place foam and build up the terrain to connect with the back of the neighboring modules.

~ Next bit of news comes from Blevins Crossing where a new fence line has been put in between the field and the fishing pond. This also helps hide what was left of the gap when the layout came apart to be moved out of ETSU.

A couple of small updates but still solid progress on the layout with more to come soon so be sure to stay tuned!!

Stopping at the grade crossing traffic is halted outside of Rogersville for a local. Norfolk Southern #3379 rolls past long hood forward pulling out a line of empties from the yard to prepare for the next outbound train. Stay tuned for more updates and videos coming soon!!

MEMRR Layout Update: Green Cove has seen some upgrades as a new station and surrounding facilities have popped up near the tunnel. Along with the new station, a freight depot sits on the other side of the tracks for both inbound and outbound freight for the local farms. A speeder shed has also been added and even a water tower and coaling area. Top it off with a new silo and everything is really coming together now. The barn was also moved to a different part of the field closer to the tracks. The buildings are still being tested for clearances but all in all this is a great new addition to the Green Cove section of the layout. Stay tuned for more updates and videos coming soon!!

We then see ET&WNC #3, Unaka, running along the track overhead as it crosses the hill heading towards Shell Creek with a freight train. Stay tuned for more updates and videos coming soon!!
