One of the most visible houses that ring the river, the view of the river from the back porch is not to be missed and should be included in any tour of Philadelphia. The original house built by Rebecca Rawle in

The house is open to the public from mid-April to mid-December Thursday – Sunday from 10:00 a.m. It is recommended that you call in advance (215) 235-1776. There are also special events though out the year including a symposium during Women’s history month, a Spring Tea that raises funds for the maintenance of the house, a well-regarded Summer Series of Chamber Music Concerts that take place in the octagonal music room among others.
