Chip sure made us work to earn his trust and love and it was worth it! Life as he knew it changed quickly and adjustment time was necessary. It took months of stability and also him going through his neuter, dental, clearing up that ear infection and getting him feeling better overall to go from from swatting and lunging at me to now wanting to crawl into laps, snuggle and be petted. 😻. We just have to say that Chip is a very cool cat! At 9 1/2 years he’s playful, loves all the other cats, takes swats from Coral with nothing more than a wounded look at her (he knows she is a calico 😺) and he is a lover! Wand toy? He's in and is quite the jumper! Minds his manners too and waits for his turn. Zoomies? Yep, he does them! Nosey and determined, yes, there's some of that too!
He’s ready for his new home and such a special boy.

🛼 HOW MANY TOWNS ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO STILL HAVE A ROLLER RINK?

Seriously… think about it.

Right here in Ottawa, we have Paramount Skating Arena — a place where generations have learned to skate, celebrated birthdays, hung out with friends, laughed when somebody landed on their backside 😆, and made some pretty great memories.

Paramount has been rolling in Ottawa since 1981!

In a world where so many of the places we remember from childhood have disappeared, having a real roller skating rink right here in our community is something pretty special.

So maybe it’s time to lace up those skates again. 🛼

Today was a great and beautiful day. It started with visiting and touring the Ottawa historical and Boy scout heritage museum (which is freaking amazing) before taking a shuttle to the Wallace home and cemetery.
The house is simply beautiful and as close as you’ll get to what it was back in the day.
The cemetery grounds have been continuously rehabilitated and so close to being completed.
I hope people will please donate to the the Wallace preservation group so it can be finished and showcased.
I couldn’t resist but to donate $100 and I received a brick from the old chimney.
