While celebrating the 4th of July, we were painting the American flag together. And out of the blue
she said, “Red!”
We were all shocked. We ask her about the other colors and she answered,
“Blue… white.”
Her memory came back!
For many people, the American flag represents freedom, hope, and home. But in that moment, it became something even more meaningful to us.
Moments like these are why Paintings of Hope exists. Art has a beautiful way of reaching places that words sometimes can’t.
Maybe really is the perfect name for this project. ❤️
