Chickasaw citizen Emma Alcazar is a Virginia-based quilter and fiber artist. "I focus most on my identity and what I've felt growing up Chickasaw in Oklahoma," says Alcazar. "I’m inspired by spending time in nature and reimagining traditional shapes and motifs into fabric to communicate my emotions." Explore how Alcazar ties personal experiences and cultural heritage together in her quilted pieces at Exhibit C.
