The mission: embrace the power of through vivid color, the sense of scent, tactile compounds, and captivating visuals and sounds. Sloomoo Institute launched in October of 2019 with an interactive 12,000 square-foot experiential space in SoHo, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime (think dozens of textures and the most delicious scents), soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights converge

with glossy, sophisticated design and contemporary art. Sloomoo’s universe expanded to Chicago & Atlanta in the winter of 2022 and plans to continue to unleash a sense of freedom and escape in inclusive spaces, whether you're a kid or a kid at heart, around the world. Making new friends can feel really big when you’re a kid. 💛

That’s something we explore in our graphic novel through Daisy’s story. She’s creative, curious, and kind — but connecting with new people doesn’t always come easily for her. And honestly, that’s such a normal part of growing up.

We’ve seen how play can help break the ice in ways words sometimes can’t. Sitting side-by-side mixing slime, sharing textures, laughing over a messy moment — it creates small openings for connection without so much pressure.

Some friendships start with a simple “Can I try that slime?” ✨

We love creating spaces where kids feel the freedom to explore, play, and connect at their own pace.

There’s something about play that opens kids up. Maybe it’s the freedom to be imperfect, or the way gathering around a shared love of a bubble. We see it every day: kids learning to share, to collaborate, to express how they feel, and to connect with each other in real ways.
