Based on his monumental painting under the same title, the acclaimed American artist Alex Katz arranges a procession of six female figures across his print, ‘Springtime’. Set against a luminous palette that evokes the freshness of the season, the women—each dressed in a white summer dress and straw hat—adopt varied poses while meeting the viewer’s gaze directly. A closer look reveals that these six figures are not distinct individuals but repeated depictions of just two women, each represented from multiple viewpoints.

Beloved British artist, David Hockney, peacefully passed last night in is London home at the age of 88. A giant of British Pop Art and an important figure in LGBTQ art history, Hockney’s legacy will live on in the contemporary art world.
