🦈 SHARKS & SHIPWRECKS IS COMING TO STARKEY RANCH! ⚓

Calling all young explorers! Join MAPS on September 19 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM for a hands-on adventure learning about sharks, pirates, and real museum artifacts.

Kids ages 6–12 will get to:
🦈 Learn about sharks and pirates
💎 Take part in a treasure hunt
🦷 Make their own shark tooth necklace
🎨 Enjoy edible crafts and more!

Tickets are $10 per child, and adults are free with a paid child ticket.

Museum Closed This Weekend (July 25–26)

Due to heavy construction taking place on the property and an unexpected air conditioning outage in our building, the museum will be closed Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work through these temporary issues.

A huge THANK YOU to Humble Hero Games in New Port Richey for hosting their SECOND fundraiser Commander event in support of MAPS Museum. 🎉

The event was held on May 2nd, 2026, as close to May 4th (Star Wars Day) as possible, making the evening even more fun for everyone involved. Along with the main prizes, there were several Star Wars-themed giveaways for participants to win, including 4 framed posters generously donated by Rich Melton.

Owners Mike Klima and Corinne continue to show what community is all about by bringing gamers together for a great cause while creating an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends.

This fundraiser featured:
🕷️ A chance to win an incredible $450 Spider-Man LEGO set
🎲 Hand-made themed dice bags for every participant
⭐ Star Wars-themed prizes and collectibles
🃏 Special Commander rules and fun twists throughout the night
📋 A custom Bingo challenge card created for players to complete tasks and win additional prizes
💥 Tons of Magic: The Gathering fun, laughs, and community support

The patrons at Humble Hero Games have been incredible supporters of MAPS Museum. The fundraising events are centered around Magic: The Gathering Commander games and continue to bring together an amazing community willing to support local education, history, and science programs.

Our first fundraiser in March 2025 raised around $800 and included dragon giveaways for every participant. This second event raised nearly $600, helping continue support for our mission and programs.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who came out, played, donated, and supported us. Communities like this truly make a difference. ❤️
