Nothing worth having comes easy. . .
Last night’s stair climb training was a tough one. . . we completed 18 stories x 6 for a grand total of 108 flights of stairs!

On September 10th Randy Cordell and I are participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Roanoke, VA to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live.

On the day of the event, we will be climbing the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center.

We had sunflower seeds fall from our bird feeder & take root in a small planter by our pool early in the spring and now we get to enjoy their beauty as they continue to grow. You know what I love most about a sunflower? That even on the darkest days it will stand tall and find the sunlight.
Great reminder for all of us. . .
