We are saddened to learn that Grand Ole Opry and WSM Radio legend Bill Cody is in the hospital in critical condition.

Bill has been a longtime friend of the Johnny Cash Museum and our Founder, Bill Miller. Over the years, that friendship has included the museum hosting his 20th WSM Anniversary Celebration in May 2014, Bill graciously emceeing the unveiling of a rare Johnny Cash record at the museum in May 2018, and welcoming our own Bill Miller as a guest on his iconic Coffee, Country & Cody program in 2023.

A beloved voice in country music broadcasting for nearly 50 years, Bill has left an indelible mark on Nashville and the country music community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill, his family, friends, and the entire country music community during this difficult time. Please join us in lifting him up in prayer.

Today marks the 13th anniversary of the Johnny Cash Museum 🖤

Since opening in 2013, the museum has earned global recognition, including four consecutive years as USA Today’s #1 Music Museum in America, as well as being ranked the #1 Music Museum in the world by Forbes, Condé Nast Traveler, and National Geographic Traveler. It’s also one of only six attractions in Nashville to receive the prestigious AAA Gem Rating.

At its heart, it’s all about keeping Johnny Cash’s legacy alive—giving people a reason to keep coming back.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors and celebrated the Man in Black with us—here’s to many more years to come.
