Engaging Curious Minds to Fuel the Future! Located in Murfreesboro, Discovery Center encourages children to venture in and learn about the world around them.

Explore our hands-on exhibits and participate in programs in arts, culture, science, health, and the environment. We are located on 20 acres of urban wetlands teeming with native plants and animals. Take a walk on our elevated boardwalk through the wetlands, check out Murfree Spring, or walk on over to Nature Play for some outdoor fun! Our admission is $15 for everyone 2 and up. The garden at 2903 Amber Drive shows how a garden can grow over time. 🐝

What started as a simple yard now includes layers of perennials, flowering trees, and pollinator-friendly plants. Several of the plants came from the homeowner’s father’s garden, giving the space a personal connection.

The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts presents a one-of-a-kind outdoor performance on Wednesday, June 10, from 2 to 3:30 PM. 🌿💃

Watch as dancers create live, improvised movement inspired by the natural world around them, then step into the experience yourself with guided participation led by dance faculty member Shabaz Ujima.

This outdoor event is free to attend and takes place at the wetlands. Admission to the Discovery Center is not included.

This garden didn’t come together all at once. 🌷

At 2914 Palace Place, improvements have been made gradually, with help from neighbors and local resources. The space now includes hydrangeas, vegetables, and a mix of seasonal plantings, and it continues to change.
