Randy McCurdy dedicates himself year-round to crafting his exceptional pieces. Each flower is grown in his gardens or greenhouse and chosen specifically to be pressed and preserved within his stunning glassworks.

Randy always balances the color and cut of his stained glass to complement and highlight the natural beauty of his subjects.

We are so thankful to showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of our basket makers.

Betty Tanner is another long time White Oak Craft Fair artist and long time basket maker. She has worked diligently as she perfects her craft, and takes the time to share it with us each year.

Another classic White Oak Craft Fair artist and talented maker is Earth Candy Wrapper.

Melody Rutledge is constantly perfecting and learning more about her craft of wire wrapping. Each piece is a true work of art. While she normally wraps beautiful gemstones, Melody also turns minerals, fossils, and even certified meteorites into wearable masterpieces.

The namesake of the White Oak Craft Fair comes from the white oak basket making tradition that is deep in Cannon County history.

The Arts Center of Cannon County even houses a museum quality exhibit of baskets made by people in the area over the past 100 years. We are so proud of this heritage, and do what we can to share it with the world.

Sue Williams, a master basket maker, will be with us at The White Oak Craft Fair, showing the step by step process of how these beautiful and historic baskets are made. Sue has made sure to keep this craft alive and well by teaching classes and taking on apprentices. You will notice in her displays that the completed baskets feature the Cannon County Tie, a special X pattern with a vertical bar woven at the point where the basket handle connects to the rim on each side.

Sue will be inside in our demonstration area in Cannon Hall on September 12th and 13th.
