DIGITAL ART PROGRAM
—NEW YORK

The Faena Art Digital Art Program presents a curated selection of video and digital artworks, transforming the monitor into a site for experimentation, reflection, and dialogue between art, technology, and the viewer.

Conceived as a living exhibition space in the corridor of Faena New York, the program expands beyond the traditional gallery format to introduce works that unfold through time, movement, and image.

ECLIPSE
——EDUARDO SARABIA
Eduardo Sarabia uses narrative as his core material, developing a visual language shaped by both lived experience and imagined stories. His work explores cultural and social dynamics, blending autobiography with broader historical and mystical contexts.
As Eclipse (2024) is now part of the Faena Art Digital Program, on view at Faena New York, Sarabia responds to the Faena Questionnaire, offering a candid reflection on the values, inspirations, fears, and philosophies that inform both his life and artistic practice.

——EDUARDO SARABIA
Now on view at Faena New York as part of the Digital Art Program, Eclipse (2024) by Eduardo Sarabia forms part of 4 Minutes of Darkness, a larger series in which Sarabia imagines what unfolds during the brief interval when the moon passes in front of the sun in an eclipse. Across the work, intimate symbols become part of a larger meditation on roots, myth, and the unseen forces that shape identity.

PORTRAITS OF US
—ES DEVLIN

Last year, we had the honor of hosting a drawing class workshop “Portraits of Us”, lead by Es Devlin. Participants met at the Library of Us and drew each face they met as the sculpture revolved, resulting in a collective portrait.

Faena Art congratulates Es Devlin on her exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London, “A National Portrait For The National Portrait Gallery“.

For this new digital artwork, developed in collaboration with Google Arts & Culture Lab, Devlin invites every adult in the United Kingdom, ‘whether citizen or visitor’, to become a ‘co-author’ of an evolving portrait of the nation, where each face ‘calls for acknowledgment and presence’ in today’s discourse around national identity.

Much like Library of Us, Devlin’s latest exhibition creates a space for new encounters.

BE
——ANTONIA WRIGHT
As part of the Faena Art Digital Art Program, now on view at Faena New York, “Be” (2013) by Antonia Wright explores the parallels between Tai Chi and bees through slow, controlled movement and the delicate balance between tension and peace. A quiet duality capable of harm, yet rooted in calm and balance.

Previously presented as part of the Faena Festival in 2018, the performance reflects the possibility of remaining peaceful amid cycles of fear, conflict, and retaliation.

LIBRARY OF US
—ES DEVLIN
The monumental “Library of Us” transformed the Faena District during Miami Art Week 2025, with a 50-foot revolving library built from 4,000 books, inviting moments of reflection, discovery, and connection. The
books created a collective archive of knowledge and found a new life in Miami-Dade County Public School classrooms across the county, extending the project’s impact directly to students.

We are honored to share with our community — and we look forward to creating new encounters together.
