If you're feeling lucky and passionate about history, the Mariposa Museum & History Center is excited to host a raffle for a Special Edition 250th .22 LR Golden Boy H004, engraved to commemorate America's 250th anniversary. Tickets are available for $50 each and can be purchased in person at the museum, located at 5119 Jessie St, Mariposa, CA, using cash or a credit card. You can also find tickets at the Stage Stop Gun Shop, Gypsy Queen, or the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce. The raffle will run until July 4th, 2026, giving you plenty of time to enter. All proceeds will go directly to support the Mariposa Butterfly Festival.

Museum Refresh Week

The Mariposa Museum and History Center will be closed Monday, June 8th, through Thursday, June 11th, for our Museum Refresh Week.

During this time, our staff and volunteers will be working behind the scenes to:

~Deep clean museum spaces
~Organize collections and storage areas
~Complete ongoing projects and exhibit improvements
~Conduct preventative pest management
~Prepare for the busy summer season

These efforts help us preserve Mariposa County's history and provide the best possible experience for our visitors.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back on Friday, June 12th.
