Honoring a Legacy at the Mariposa Museum & History Center

Today, we had the privilege of gathering together for a special dedication of our historic 5 Stamp Mill Roof Project, dedicated in memory of Jack Wildt and in recognition of the Wildt family.

Jack was a longtime part of Mariposa’s mining history—a miner, heavy equipment operator, and mining historian who generously shared his knowledge with the Mariposa Museum & History Center. Known as a true “Jack of All Trades,” his contributions, along with those of his family, have helped us keep our historic Stamp Mill operating and sharing Mariposa’s mining heritage with generations of visitors.

We were especially honored to have members of the Wildt family with us for today’s dedication. ❤️

We invite you to watch the video below and join us in celebrating Jack’s legacy and thanking the Wildt family for the important role they have played in preserving this piece of Mariposa history.
