As we head into another heat wave, California State Parks reminds visitors to and stay safe in the heat! 🌡

Always plan ahead and stay hydrated! If heading to a waterway to cool off - wear a life jacket, only swim in designated areas, and actively supervise children.

If you are looking for a break from the heat this weekend, consider a trip to the museum! Our facility has good air conditioning. We are open 10am-5pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please stay safe during the heat wave, and follow the tips below to stay cool.

With special community events and in-person and virtual programming, CA State Parks Week offers a fun way to connect with nature, find inspiration, and discover new experiences. From hiking through ancient redwood forests to exploring scenic beaches and learning about the state's cultural history, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Plus, CA State Parks Week supports the Outdoor Access For All and California Outdoors For All initiatives, which aim to expand outdoor access to all Californians. So come out and celebrate wellness, stewardship, community, and adventure with us!
