Tonight's the night! Wednesday October 14...come see our treasured and beloved historic buildings on the big screen and learn about our history!

We are just one week away from the premiere...

Join us on Wednesday October 14 at 7 pm at the Old Baptist Church Cultural Center as we present a series of documentary film shorts on the American Revolution in Ocean County as part of our America 250 celebrations.

These films were shot on location at our own buildings such as the Old Stone Store and Old Baptist Church Cultural Center!

The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is proud to provide documentaries concerning the American Revolution in what is now Ocean County.

Representatives from the Ocean County Parks & Recreation Cultural and Heritage Commission will present some of the series of documentaries “The American Revolution in Ocean County Trail” produced by Oak Leaf Media of Tuckerton New Jersey funded in part by a National Park Service Battlefield Preservation grant.

We will view as many of the local titles and time allows, such as The Manahawkin Skirmish, Long Beach Massacre, the Affair at Cedar Bridge Creek and more.

This is sure to be an historic evening to remember in a perfect setting.

This free program is open to all, whether you're a member or not, we'd love to have you, so bring a friend. Light refreshments will be served.

We cannot thank our friends at The Barnegat Historical Society & Thrift Shop enough for such a wonderful evening this past Wednesday.

If you want to be immersed in local history, tour beautifully preserved buildings from old Barnegat and hear the voices of the past come alive, be sure to visit the first Sunday of every month from 1-4 pm.

And just like that… it’s the final Monday night concert in Stafford and we’re sending summer off in style! Thank you to each and every one of you who have come out this summer, been incredibly generous and helped continue our mission of preserving Stafford Township’s rich history!

The fun doesn’t end tonight though… be sure to check out what we’ve got lined up for a fantastic Fall…we’ll see you there!

Tonight kicks off early with Hooked on Fishing, Stafford Recreation Pop-Up Market & Classic Car Show.

The 23rd Annual Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs will take place at Manahawkin Lake Park starting at 4:30 pm.

The final pop-up market begins a little early tonight at 4:30 pm and concludes at dusk. Our wide variety of vendors will offer everything from Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh cut flowers, kettle corn, baked goods, sourdough, handmade items and so much more! There will also be tastings from Manafirkin Brewery and Cream Ridge Winery.

This evening also features the 5th Annual Donny Cranmer Memorial Car Show benefitting the Stafford PBA & Recreation Holiday Toy Drive at 5 pm.

Then at 6:30 pm MUSHMOUTH hits the stage at Manahawkin Lake Park on Monday for a free summer night of music under the summer sky and sunsets over the lake.

Mushmouth effortlessly delivers flawless renditions of all the top hit songs. With a lively and entertaining stage presence, Mushmouth takes the audience on a journey through the biggest hits, one-hit wonders, and hidden gems from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and beyond!

It’s hard to believe…just two more summer concerts left!

Tonight, Monday August 24, we welcome back everyone's favorite “Old Guys”, Joey D - Johnny B - Rockin Oldies Band.

These Old Guys really Rock. Playing great party and dance tunes from the 50's. 60's and 70's! Come on out and see why they are rated "New Jersey's Favorite Doo W*p and Dance Band!"

Be sure to arrive early as the Stafford Recreation pop-up market begins at 5 pm and concludes at dusk.
