Calling all artists, art teachers, and all-around creatives - near and far, young and old!

We are FINALLY gearing up for a long awaited summer filled with color and fun at the Art Haus!

We hope to offer multiple classes each day, both inside and outside (weather permitting) for children to enjoy. Classes will be offered to children in appropriate age groups, based upon the particular craft/activity/artistic venture planned for each class- from age 3/4 and up! We’d love to offer teen and adult classes as well. We are aiming to brush off the dust, kick off the end of the school year, and open the studio during the week of June 21st, so we’ll be announcing class schedules with online access for registration in the coming weeks.

Formal experience/training not required, but always a plus!

Truer words have never been spoken by a wiser being, echoed by a very close friend of mine today as we prepare to make this beautiful dwelling filled with history and character our own. What is it we hope to gain? The answer is simple: A haven for creativity, imagination, innovation, conservationist thinking, artistic ability, and original ideas forged in collaboration with the finest and most talented artists, makers, and trailblazers around.

CALLING ALL MAKERS!

We are now entering the final stages of our purchase of the beautiful Victorian chateau, previously the home of The Parsonage Shoppes, located on Route 9 in downtown Manahawkin (across from the library, just before Oxycocus Elementary School).

With keys in hand, we will get right to work revamping this incredible space and giving it some TLC before opening our new shop in mid-March. We have high hopes and great plans for the upcoming year and can’t wait to get started.

We are now accepting applications from artists, makers, and other producers and purveyors of creative, eco-friendly, inspirational, meaningful or other goods made in the Region for sale in the store. We will be offering a series of options for consignment, and will also accept limited wholesale arrangements for certain items.

We have already welcomed several artists and makers to the Main Street Art Haus family, who have contributed a spread of inventory including wooden signs, trays, and wall hangings, abstract wall art, boho-inspired bracelets made from semi-precious stones, a grass-roots clothing line highlighting the struggles and conquests of commercial fisherman, aromatic and intoxicating mens’ soaps and shave products, hand-painted and hand-carved home decor, macrame handbags, earrings and wall hangings - and more!

We would love to speak with anyone interested in helping to create a shop built on creativity, innovation, inspiration and the drive to make your mark in the world.

We are proud sponsors of the upcoming 6th Annual Makers Festival and will soon be announcing many new opportunities, including a space for vendors to host classes and “sip” parties, as well as a rotating gallery space.
