“Haesito” is 36 x 48 inches and it is one of my favorite paintings to date. This piece of art is a representation of the addictive nature that so many of us experience, whatever that addiction may be. It also layers in the environments that shape us. We become products of our environments, whether that environment be people or places. I have personally experienced the good and the bad parts of this, and I can assure you, that I prefer the good. It doesn’t mean that the bad parts of it are easy to escape, and sometimes those bad parts of it tend to come knocking on your door. What will you do when you hear that knock? It can be difficult to make the right decisions, but as I’ve gotten older, the more I have started to choose me. I am finally beginning to get out of my comfort zone and experience the better parts of what life has to offer. It doesn’t mean that we aren’t tempted to retreat back to what we know, but I feel that breaking those old habits and patterns can unlock a whole new world. Perhaps, one better than you could have ever imagined. Let me know if you can relate, and what you think of “Haesito!” I really enjoyed creating this piece
