A collection of Plasterglass lighting from our PROCESS exhibition in Miami. ⁣
⁣
Handmade in the (sculpture studio), each piece retains subtle variations in texture and form—a reflection of the creative process. The designs begin in clay or plaster, shaped by our Master Sculptor and artists-in-residence as they experiment and refine each work. Once perfected, the designs are molded and executed in Plasterglass just steps away in our (factory). ⁣

“I want people to be able to walk all around a piece as if they were viewing a sculpture. I want them to see the craftsmanship,” Ralph Pucci says about his approach to presenting works. ⁣⁣

He is often inspired by the art world, translating ideas of color, materials and shapes into design collections and exhibitions in collaboration with artists. ⁣⁣

The Kopra Standing Lamp 316 by David Weeks photographed by William Wegman exclusively for Wallpaper* Magazine. ⁣
⁣
As a guest editor of the October 2015 issue, Wegman, along with US editor Michael Reynolds, styled Topper and Flo with contemporary American designs he considered most complementary to his signature hounds.⁣
⁣
The lusciousness of the photographs and original compositions belie a more practical use for pairing his Weimaraners with furniture: “The dogs had to be brought up to the 20x24 camera level. It was a refrigerator-sized beast; you couldn’t point it down at something, you had to bring anything that you were photographing up to its level,” says Wegman. ⁣

The new lighting studio at 44 West 18th Street in New York. ⁣

Built to produce David Weeks’ lighting collection by hand, the space is a natural addition to the sculpture studio and factory in our flagship gallery where we collaborate with artists to develop new ideas into original works and collections. ⁣

Clair de Lune Copper Cubes by Fran Taubman.⁣
⁣
A new series of sculptural works that combine advanced digital technology with Taubman’s four decades of metalworking expertise. Created in her studio in Shelter Island, New York, each piece is fabricated using parametric modelling and algorithmic design, where Taubman uses computer software to generate complex curves from hundreds of geometric polygons. These are precisely cut into copper triangles, which she applies and connects by hand. ⁣
⁣
The faceted metal surfaces catch and reflect light, producing a shimmering effect reminiscent of moonlight on water, which gives the series its name. ⁣
⁣
