Thank you for a wonderful Summer Reading this summer! The Children's Department had over 670 reading challenge registrations over 750 non-fiction challenge tickets were entered, over 350 scavenger hunt participants over three scavenger hunts, and countless fantastic moments from programs and activities. Below are a few memories of this summer!

Thank you for being a part of the 'Unearth a Story' this summer and for celebrating dinosaurs and America 250! ☀ 🦖🎆 What an amazing summer!

Thank you to all of the amazing presenters that came to the library to present programs this summer. ☀✨We had a blast learning about animals, creating balloon animals, watching magic, learning about science, meeting reptiles, meeting owls, meeting so many other interesting animals, building and creating, learning about fossils, learning about space, listening to great music and dancing, and watching puppet theatre!

🌸 Visit the Lockport Public Library's two StoryWalk® locations:
🌼-City of Lockport by the Erie Canal near Widewaters
🌺-Town of Lockport at Day Road Park
🌺There are new stories at each location! "Jabari Jumps" by Gaia Cornwall is featured at the City of Lockport location and "Dinosaurs Galore” by
Giles Andreae is featured at the Town of Lockport location.

What an absolutely fantastic last week of Summer Reading! From Sensory Explore & Play: Life Sized Board Games to story times to make and take crafts to Day Road Park to the wonderful patriotic concert from the Lockport Community Band it was an amazing last week of Summer Reading!

Thank you to everyone who came out this week to turn in your Summer Reading records, make crafts, attend story times, and check out materials and books!

Join us at Day Road Park this morning, Friday 8/14 at 10:00 am-10:30 am for our last Day Road Park story time of the summer! All ages welcome, no registration! ✨🌟🌟

*As a reminder: Please bring your own lawn chairs to enjoy the music on the front lawn!* Join us on Thursday, August 13 for the Lockport Community Band: A Patriotic Celebration from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm on the Library's Front Lawn. All ages welcome, no registration is welcome.

Come enjoy a relaxing evening on the Library's front lawn. Enjoy traditional patriotic songs and Broadway show tunes performed by the Lockport Community Band. All are welcome. No registration is required.

*As a reminder: Please bring your own lawn chairs to enjoy the music on the front lawn!*

Performance will be held in the Wheeler Room in the event of rain.
