“The ache of loving something that wounds you. The thistle — sharp, untamable, and crowned with fragile beauty — a love that both enchants and scars. She gently embraces the flower, even as its thorns pierce her skin and draw blood. Ah the human tendency to cling to what causes pain, mistaking hurt for depth, and longing for love.

She closes her eyes and lets out a tear of surrender — a quiet acceptance that beauty and suffering are often intertwined. The thistle’s delicate bloom contrasts its harsh spines, reminding her that what we find most captivating can also be what undoes us. Love, like the thistle, demands tenderness from those who dare to hold it, even knowing it will sting.

Bittersweet devotion — loving fully, even when it hurts, because to feel deeply, even in pain, is still to be alive.”
