A Shout Out to the Green Bay Packers organization and the NFL, and all of you Green Bay Packers fans.

Just reminiscing from 2 Sundays ago when Sher and I were at SoFi Stadium (incredible), for the Green Bay Packers @ Los Angeles Rams game. It was a great close game that came down to the final drive with just two minutes and the Rams and the Green Bay 35, with little time left, but Stafford and the LA Rams offense, despite 3 first downs and a good drive, just could not convert on that fourth and three (Great Packers D), and the Green Bay Packers took over and took two knees to end the game. Phenomenal Win on the road, even though Love threw a terrible interception for a pick six!

One of the best jerseys I saw For Sale was one that read “All you need is Love!”

We had Great seats thanks to my other lovely sister Andrea who was at the game in the VIP box below us with Lizzy.

This was a blessing and the silver lining in the cloud, is to be able to spend time with family and go to fun events after going through Hurricane Dora August 8, 2023 that destroyed all of Old Lahaina Town. It still hurts deep down inside and saddens my heart, but life is full of transitions, challenges, adventures, lessons, and new chapters.

Great crowd! Packed house. But I truly think there were more GB Packer fans there than Rams fans, as you can see from this picture the number of Packer fans surrounding like a few Rams fans.

I’m wondering if they can run the numbers on that. 😂🏈 But we saw so many Packers jerseys, caps, costumes, and cheese heads; and people dressed up in their green and gold just like at Lambeau field - so much so that I just had to smile, laugh, and chuckle.

And to come out with a win on top of that, just made it a fabulous and memorable experience. It seemed like there was at least two to one Packers fans versus Rams fans.

A lot of the people that I talked to were so friendly and quite a diverse fan base; as they offered us free beers while tailgating; and I asked these three fans I parked behind, if they were from Wisconsin, and surprisingly many of these people that I talked to were not from Wisconsin, but still diehard Packer fans and they just loved the Green Bay Packers football team.

It was quite funny after we got the beers and cracked them open, and we’re walking through the parking lot, I casually said to Sher - “there’s nothing like having a couple of beers before a game” and the person that I was passing by chimed in right on cue - saying “Definitely!” I just had to laugh.

All the folks I met in Green Bay regalia, even though they were not From Wisconsin, we’re still diehard packer fans. I think the Green Bay Packers are really and truly unique, and “America’s Football Team”! Not the Dallas Cowboys! I met more Packer fans from around the United States, Hawaii, Colorado, Washington, California, and New York, and they all say ‘Go Pack Go! 💫🌎 🏈

Thinking of all of you! Hope all is well. Happy Sweet September! Cheers! Bay view Days was a fun hang!

I don’t believe the US Government is helping with disaster relief enough.

Specifically referencing Hurricane Dora 23 Lahaina (and Kula), Maui, our 50th state is still going through hell!

Here is a portion of the latest Lahaina community meeting:

Most importantly, I want to recognize the incredible strength of our people, many who have endured inconceivable suffering, but continue to push forward with incredible grit, sacrifice, and immeasurable courage,” Mayor Bissen testified. “And while we can rebuild structures, (what has been built or rebuilt), if we don’t return Lahaina to the people who represent the spirit and soul of that community – (everyone who lived there 9 plus years or their entire lives is community) - if we don’t recognize the faces of our friends and family - (whose friends and families - just yours?) as we repopulate Lahaina, we will have lost this battle for our people – and even one more family lost is one too many.”

(What aid has actually been offered to all of us who lost our jobs and careers and have had to find other work or work on the mainland?)

“The fight is far from over, and continued financial and programmatic support from our State and Federal partners is crucial to the preservation and livelihood of our people, and the success of this recovery,” Mayor Bissen added.

(Is our State and Federal Government doing enough? I emphatically say NO! I see the importance of helping other countries and spending millions and billions and billions of dollars on Israel or Ukraine or rockets and missiles, but aren’t the people in communities and infrastructure as well as our safety and well-being supposed to come first before we help others or are we supposed to take care of ourselves, the American people? Maui - & Hawaii - The 50th state - a great part of and a great and beautiful unique place for America 🌈🌈🌈🌺🌎💫🤙🏝️🏄‍♀️🦈⛳️🔱🎹🎼🎥🎥🌺🌺💫🌈🌈🌈🇺🇸!

The hearing, titled “Assessing the Federal Government’s Response to the 2023 Maui Wildfires,” evaluated the federal government’s ongoing response to last year’s Maui wildfires. The session gave members of Congress the opportunity to question federal disaster response agencies about their progress thus far, while giving a platform to local leaders and residents.

Congressional field hearing panelists were U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas), chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations and the Federal Workforce, and Katie Porter (D-Calif.), member of the full House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, along with Hawai‘i Democratic Reps. Ed Case and Jill Tokuda, whose districts include Maui.

The federal witness panel included Robert J. Fenton, Region 9 – Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Col. Eric Swenson, St. Paul District Commander and District Engineer; Cheree Peterson, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Deputy Regional Administration Region 9; and Francisco Sanchez Jr., Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience Associate Administrator. The state/local witness panel included Maj. Gen. Kenneth Hara, Adjutant General for the State of Hawaiʻi, Department of Defense; Mayor Richard Bissen; Lauren Nahme, Hawaii Community Foundation’s Senior Vice President of Maui Recovery Office; Sne Patel, LahainaTown Action Committee president; and Ke’eaumoku Kapu, Na ‘Aikane o Maui president and CEO.

Get active. Help Lahaina rebuild!
