What happens when a lifetime of dedication meets a powerful community effort? You get a national landmark. 🏛️✨

Wanda Sobieski and the Suffrage Coalition have spent years honoring history in downtown Knoxville by erecting monuments like the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Memorial and the Burn Memorial. Now, they are taking things to a whole new level by transforming two historic buildings into the Women’s Suffrage Museum Event and Cultural Center!

Opening in 2028, this 20,000+ square foot space will officially be the largest suffrage museum in the country. It’s set to house over 1,000 priceless artifacts—including original, handwritten letters from Susan B. Anthony and the actual legislative chairs from Harry Burn’s office.
As Wanda always says, this story about a mother’s courage and a son’s conscience belongs to the world.

150 years of 'not yet.' The endless wait for societal 'readiness' has never been a timeline, just a strategy for delay. These powerful women knew that change only happens when we force it. Today, we stand on their shoulders and keep pushing forward. The fight isn't over. Let's make them proud.

They weren’t just names in a history book. They were mothers, sisters, and visionaries who refused to be silent so that we could be heard.
A century ago, they gave us a voice. Today, we are giving them a home. 🏛️✨
We are looking for the next generation of Founders to help us build a national treasure right here in Knoxville at 708 S. Gay Street. Your name, alongside theirs—preserving the legacy of the "Perfect 36" for the daughters of tomorrow.

POV: It’s 1912. You’re a 16-year-old immigrant leading 10,000 people through the streets of New York for the right to vote. 🗳️✨

Meet Dr. Mabel Ping-Hua Lee. She was a powerhouse of the suffrage movement, yet because of the Chinese Exclusion Act, she remained disenfranchised even after the 19th Amendment passed in 1920.
Her story is a reminder that the fight for equality wasn't the same for everyone—but her legacy paved the way for us all. This Asian American Heritage Month, we honor the "Silent Suffragist" who refused to stay quiet. 🏛️🗽
