Weβre Excited to Announce a New Series of Acting Classes This Fall!
Whether you're brand new to acting or looking to strengthen your performance skills, our upcoming Acting for Teens and Adults classes offer a welcoming and engaging experience for students of all ability levels. Sign up for one session or join as many as you'd like!
Each class focuses on developing specific acting techniques and applying them to scripts from 20th-century American plays. Sessions are divided into two parts:
Hour One: Fun and interactive improvisation exercises designed to spark imagination, improve focus, and strengthen communication skills.
Hour Two: Guided script work where students apply acting techniques while exploring character development and scene study.
Each four-week session culminates in a public staged reading of a selected play, allowing participants to share their work with family and friends. Scripts are provided, and no memorization is required.
Cost: $140 per session (includes a $20 materials fee)
Meet the Instructor: Ken Skrzesz
Ken Skrzesz became a member of the Actors' Equity Association while performing at the Goodspeed Opera House and has directed and/or choreographed more than 200 theatre, concert, and opera productions.
His directing credits range from the plays of Edward Albee, Arthur Miller, and Tennessee Williams to musicals by John Kander and Fred Ebb, Irving Berlin, and the legendary team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.
Ken's unique background in both acting and dance creates a seamless approach to performance, emphasizing honest storytelling through dialogue, song, and movement. His former students have gone on to appear in acclaimed television series including Mad Men, Scandal, and Will & Grace, as well as Broadway productions such as Mamma Mia!, Chicago, South Pacific, The Lion King, Hairspray, and The Book of Mormon.
