"May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and the NCAA is celebrating the achievements and contributions of AAPI student-athletes across all sports and divisions. In recent years, the AAPI student-athlete population — 13,255 in 2022-23 — has witnessed consistent growth. This includes a 5% increase from the 2021-22 to 2022-23 academic years and a 53% increase from 2012-13 to 2022-23."

This article highlights how the NCAA is making progress in areas such as:
1. Updating the Mental Health Best Practices Document
2. Sports betting and the launch of the "Draw the Line" campaign
3. NCAA Research using findings from the NCAA Student-Athlete Health and Wellness Study to inform and help our member schools better serve their athletes in areas relating to mental health
4. The launch of the post-eligibility insurance coverage launching Aug. 1, 2024, which will include coverage for mental health services
