After the opening of Divination: Beverly Buchanan & Dionne Lee, visitors will have the opportunity to hear remarks directly from the artist and curator. The two will lead a discussion about themes explored in the exhibition.⁠

Exhibition catalogues will be available for purchase at the program. ⁠

This program will be seated in the Nina and Michael Zilkha Gallery and is free to attend. Seating is limited and available on a first-come basis. We recommend arriving early.⁠

Explore the full breadth of Mary Ellen Carroll: How To Talk Dirty and Influence People via this expansive look at Carroll’s conceptually oriented approach to artmaking, including an essay by exhibition curator Rebecca Matalon, newly commissioned prose and poetry, as well as reprints of key interviews between the artist and noted art historians.

The exhibition catalogue for Mary Ellen Carroll: How To Talk Dirty and Influence People is available for purchase at CAMH and online at CAMH.SHOP.

This book was co-published by CAMH and Dancing Foxes Press.

Join us for the opening of the exhibition Divination: Beverly Buchanan & Dionne Lee!⁠ 🌀⁠

Divination: Beverly Buchanan & Dionne Lee foregrounds Beverly Buchanan and Dionne Lee’s explorations of the myths, majesty, and dispossessions embedded in the American landscape. The exhibition pairs materials from the late Buchanan’s archives, including photographs, journals, writing, and ephemera, with a selection of videos, photographs, and sculptures by the Columbus-based Lee.⁠

Houston-based DJ, producer, and cultural historian, DJ MLE , will be sharing her blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms, Afrobeats, and global sounds on CAMH's terrace.⁠
