SHOOT THE S**T PHOTO CRIT is heading to FRIENDS Gallery! 📸
This round, we’re joining forces in the East End for an evening of photography, conversation, and community critique. Featuring Jessica Carolina González (Jessica González) as our guest critic, alongside FLATS organizers Cass + Jeremy.
A space for the People! Friends Gallery is a volunteer-run artist collective focused on Trans, Q***r, BIPOC, and Houston artists. As an anti-imperialist and de-colonial space, they are interested in art as a place of community, culture, political education, and a method to shift and improve the conditions of oppressed people.
Want to present?
We’re opening 10 critique slots (first come, first serve) for photographers at any stage in their practice. Digital and physical work are both welcome, with approximately 8 minutes of discussion and feedback per photographer.
Participants please RSVP + submit your work through the link in bio.
Don’t have work to show? Come anyway!
Critique is just as much about learning how to look, listen, and talk about photographs as it is about presenting your own. Come hang out, join the conversation, and support your fellow photographers. Attendees please RSVP through the link in bio so we can plan seating.
