Don’t let the paint fool you. You are ALWAYS in control of the final result. So go into it with intent.

Here’s the video! This 30x40 commissioned pearl pour’s “happy accident” really made a difference in the final result. Sometimes things happen for a reason, and sometimes you just gotta go with it. Using pigments as an underlayment of color is my favorite thing to do on pearl pours, as they create a soft and ethereal effect. Is it an ocean? A mountain range? It’s all in the eye of the beholder. https://youtu.be/laTM9XPl0fQ?is=sLkNrKg-zLmpU-t-

Had such a wonderful class/painting time with Miss Karen yesterday! We worked on what the consistency needs to be to pour rings and have the lines maintain their integrity when stretched out. She did an amazing job! It’s so much easier to learn when you can see and feel the paint in person.

Successful delivery to a very happy client surprising his wife! That’s a 30x40 canvas and it looks tiny in that huge space above the fireplace! But I’m so grateful it has a forever home and yes, I instructed him to move it down some. He just has to drill a hole in the brick first. I can’t help it if he was excited to get it on the wall! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love, absolutely LOVE, doing the remix thing on my older paintings. The fact that what you liked a year ago has now become, “Let’s try this because I think it’ll make it better” shows the evolution of growth in your artistic journey. A painting doesn’t have to stay the same, just like we don’t as individuals. Sometimes, change is good.

This custom blue that I changed the negative space color to did something dramatic to this piece and I have to say, it turned out just as amazing as I pictured it in my head.

Which one do you like better? The remix or the original version?

Who said ceramic tile is only for floors? This simplistic, textured 30x40 reminds me of a unique, melodic heartbeat. I see it hanging in an ultra modern, monochromatic decor. I don’t think it’ll take too long for it to find its forever home. ❤️ Contact me for pricing!

Started thinking about how long it’s been since I’ve done a blow out in my studio…and to be honest, I couldn’t remember…so the short answer was “way too long”. Miss Kanella Ciraco Art did one a few weeks back with a stunning palette that had EARTH 🌏 TONES and you know how I feel about those! I also decided to mix up a pigment for the piece using my special ingredient - it makes mixing pigments SO MUCH EASIER! 👌🏻 So I gave it a whirl and tried to remember what K taught me and while there were some lessons learned, it didn’t turn out nearly as bad as I thought it would.
