So sometimes a rainy day can translate into a little free time, time to dig thru boxes. At one time I had a dozen of these little cans however I am glad at least one survived Harvey. Coffee was a huge business in Houston back in the 1920's and 1930's. This is from the 1960's/70's. The can of coffee is sitting on a brick from the old Sam Houston Coliseum.

The challenge? Adorn a 53 gallon, 100 lb. whiskey barrel with vintage Texas oilfield images for the A.P.I. (American Petroleum Institute) Art Exhibition Gala being held October 5th of this year in Houston.
It is to be auctioned off for support of its Houston Scholarship Endowments.

It looks like I have my work cut out for me!
