Sometimes, one frame just isn’t enough🖼️

Brad Weems brought in this beautiful piece by Tod lindholm and wanted to create a framing solution that gave the canvas the presence it deserved without concealing its edges.

The artwork is secured within two Roma Moulding mouldings, creating the desired width while allowing the artwork to remain the focal point. A float frame supports the canvas, while a traditional frame is stacked around it to complete the design. The result is a beautifully layered masterpiece.

Kristina Wilson Wynne brought in this beautiful silk scarf to be framed and displayed in her client’s dining room. Using Europa Natural from Frank's Fabrics , the scarf was carefully secured to the mat by our framer, Martin Rocha

The piece’s impressive scale made it an ideal candidate for Somar Creations acrylic box, providing protection without adding unnecessary weight. Its clean, contemporary finish allows the textile to take center stage and speak for itself.

These two beautiful pieces, brought in by Michael Stribling’s client, were created by Barbara Flowers. The artwork showcases the rich texture and dimensionality of her impasto technique, adding an extra layer of personality.

The depth of the green still life’s canvas panel called for a little ingenuity as a standard float frame wasn’t deep enough to accommodate its dimensions. Our framer, Martin, spliced two mouldings together from Studio Moulding to create a custom, deeper profile. The end result is a seamless float frame that perfectly complements the green and blue in her art.

WOTTW

This expressive piece was brought in by Anni at Medsger Studio for her client and showcases the possibilities behind acrylic.
Looking for a sleek and contemporary look, they chose to enclose the art behind plexi from Somar Creations. We floated the piece on Frank's Fabrics cascade white to let the work speak for itself. Acrylic boxes are a great way to protect the artwork while also adding a subtle mid-century modern feel to a space. It’s the perfect choice for those who appreciate a sturdy but minimalist approach to design.

WOTTW

Originally a decorative fireplace cover, this piece was repurposed to become a striking window installation in a high-rise home. To preserve its transparency, it couldn’t have traditional backing, so Martin Rocha engineered a custom solution instead. By fitting a conventional Omega frame within a Studio Moulding float frame, the work was effectively sandwiched between the mouldings to secure its structural integrity.

The result is a design that’s as functional as it is beautiful, allowing natural light to become part of the finished piece. Big thanks to Mark Wade Brown for challenging us to think beyond traditional framing with his client’s project.

These vintage, hand-stitched kitchen towels were brought in by Caron LaMay of Caron LaMay. They were lovingly preserved by her client’s aunt who fell in love with these ready-made, twisted frames from pottery barn. We added anti-reflective glass and a blue denim fabric to complement her newly renovated kitchen and breakfast room. Such a beautiful way to add some color and texture into the room!
