EDUCATION , The Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum prides itself on teaching the history of railroading through its collection of artifacts and model railroad displays 😊❤️👍🚂

FUN , The Directors , Officers and Staff of the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum strive to keep our museum interactive. Doing so allows children and adults alike to have a fun time, while learning at the same time 😊❤️🚂👍

SAFETY , The Hagerstown Round House is one of the few museums fortunate enough to be located right at an active Class One Railroad yard. We stress a safety message your children can take home that will benefit them throughout their lives 😊❤️👍🚂

The museum is located in an original Western Maryland Railway structure immediately next to the CSX Transportation Railyard ….

The AIR CONDITIONED museum encompasses two floors , an addition in the rear and its very own rail spur ….

Two floors of model railroad layouts surrounded by photos and antiques from all the various railroads that have served the The City of Hagerstown - Municipal area over the many decades past 😊🚂🇺🇸

Be sure a walk our rail spur which is located directly behind the museum and see the locomotive , cabooses and miscellaneous other railcars on display 😊🚂🇺🇸

WE HAVE A RED SIGNAL 😢🔴🇺🇸

In a much as JULY 4th falls on a Saturday this year , and it’s America’s 250th birthday which is a once in a life time event , the HAGERSTOWN ROUNDHOUSE MUSEUM Directors have made the difficult decision to “ CLOSE “ the museum on FRIDAY the 3rd , SATURDAY the 4th and SUNDAY the 5th of JULY 2026 😢🔴🇺🇸

This decision only affects the HAGERSTOWN ROUNDHOUSE MUSEUM located at 296 South Burhans Blvd. in The City of Hagerstown - Municipal area “ ONLY “. The decision does not effect any other Hagerstown and or Washington County Government - Maryland train or railroad attraction 😊👍🇺🇸

We hope the public understands that our all volunteer operating staff wished for the most part to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with their families 👍😊🇺🇸

The Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum will return to action as usual the weekend following the 4th of July weekend 😊👍🇺🇸🚂

The museum has its own rail spur located to the rear of our historic structure , the spur is full of unique rolling stock such as an old Western Maryland Diesel Locomotive and a small switcher engine that was used as Hagerstown’s Security Cement facility in decades long past 😊👍🚂…
