Jonathan Hager House Museum

Jonathan Hager House Museum Few cities which predate the nation itself can boast the home of their founding father, preserved, restored, and furnished to its 18th century glory.
(1)

Raised over a never failing spring, this 18th Century fortress of a home celebrates the 275th year anniversary of city founder, Jonathan Hager's, first land buy at this site in 1739. Archaeological evidence supports that this site was occupied and inhabited by native Americans long before any European settlers ever set foot on American soil. Visit the Jonathan Hager House Museum and step into the

past, for a unique experience unlike any other place in the world. Located in America's most beautiful Hagerstown City Park.

SAVE THE DATE FOR A NEW EVENT!
Join us for German Herbstfest on Saturday, Sept 19 from 5pm-8pm at the Jonathan Hager House, following our annual City Park Fall Fest! Herbstfest, a traditional German harvest festival, will feature German music, food and drink on the front lawn of the Hager House in City Park Hagerstown.

If you love polkas, swing, and pop, you will love the music provided by the Sepp Walzer Fest Band from 5:30-7:30pm! Herbstfest will feature a non-alcohol beer garden in partnership with the Hagerstown Field House and delicious bratwurst and saurkraut sponsored by Zion Reformed Church celebrating the German Heritage of our city founder.

Bring a chair or blanket to listen to music on the lawn, or dine in our NA biergarten and enjoy the festivities as we wait in anticipation for the fireworks on City Park lake at 7:45pm!
