Oklahoma Territorial Museum Learn Oklahoma's story, it's not the story you think you know. The first floor gallery presents the story of the 1889 Land Run settling the Unassigned Lands.

Upstairs we have our Life in the Territory gallery and our Statehood exhibit which tells the story of how Indian and Oklahoma Territories fused to become the State of Oklahoma in November 1907. Don't miss the Historic Carnegie Library, where the state of Oklahoma was born.

The 2026-2027 Leadership group is off to an amazing start. This group comes from many different background and that’s truly what makes Guthrie Leadership so unique.

Last month the group got to visit the Oklahoma Territorial Museum where they learned more about the history of Oklahoma through artifacts, paintings, photographs, and more. Touring the museum takes you into the beautiful history of our state and tells stories of how the Carnegie Library and the museum became one.

We can’t wait for all of our upcoming sessions!

Erin will be at the Cheyenne & Arapaho Pow Wow this weekend in Colony, OK displaying drawings made by native children who attended Seger Indian Industrial School in 1894. If anybody has stories about the school be sure to visit her in Kauger building.
