Need a shave? At the OK Frontier Drugstore Museum, we have numerous "personal" items that have been used over many years. These razors are vintage and would have been used during the 19th Century to keep Grandpa's face perfectly shaved!

When you visit the Apothecary Garden in Guthrie, you'll love the Waterfall and Pond. We keep it filled with Lilly Pads, Goldfish, and other water friendly plants. The Garden is filled with medicinal plants, flowers and greenery, mostly native to Oklahoma.

Please plan to visit us soon. We're at the corner of Oklahoma Ave and 2nd Street in OK's First Capital and we welcome you! We are always in need of volunteers for the Apothecary Garden and the OK Frontier Drugstore Museum. A favorite in the OK Frontoer Drugstore Museum is the vintage Leech Jar. Leeches were stored here to be easily accessible. Leeches traditionally suck the blood of other animals and could be utilized for patients to increase circulation, to improve blood flow and to speed healing when applied to a wound.

Boxwood is a large hedge type plant seen in many yards, parks and near commercial buildings and, in the Apothecary Garden. Traditionally, an extract from the leaves, was said to help with Arthritis, Rheumatism, or to Detox the blood.

In 2007 the FDA banned Quinine to be used for anything other than Malaria. That said, this vintage bottle of sugar coated tablets of Quinine Sulfate was sold in drugstores in the past to treat not only Malaria, but also to control Nighttime Leg Cramps. This bottle contained 100 "White" tablets and can be seen at the OK Frontier Drugstore Museum. We're located in Guthrie at 214 W. Oklahoma Ave and we welcome you to visit us.
