Fine art custom framing meets thoughtful design in a fresh gallery setting.• Serving Central Virginia art lovers since 2010. All work is created on premises.

Frame design by appointment.• Wed - Sat • Locally artisan owned. • All work created in our studio on site. Shop/Design Wed - Sat 11 to 5 - Mon/Tues design by appointment • All design by appointment to avoid a wait. About Cavallo: German born artist Beate is a Fine Arts Graduate in Printmaking from the Corcoran Gallery School of Arts (Washington D.C.) In 2010, after successfully running some of the area's best frame studios, she set out to open her first busy venues, LA LINEA BELLA and ATELIER ONE GALLERY in Charlottesville. In 2017, she fell in love with and moved to beautiful Historic Gordonsville, where she re-opened as CAVALLO GALLERY and recently expanded into her new gallery space. Many of her clients have been with Beate for over 20 years, and she is excited to now offer her creative ways of thinking, love of good art and caring personal service here in Gordonsville to clients from as far as Richmond and Northern Virginia. Cavallo offers fine art framing with a European flair, original art, and artisan favorites. Due to the care and length of individual appointments, we do recommend calling ahead for any project you have in mind. For inspo and more info,

• Good morning!! • Some days, it's hard to tell where it's sunnier: inside the shop or outside on Main Street! I love the light inside the gallery, and whilst I'm mainly working on some huge orders in the studio this month, I'll also be moving things around a bit in the gallery to really give things a new pop.
• New work by some of your gallery favorites are on the way for late fall - and to make room, there's a sale on jewelry ++ in the back.
• Design appointments are a must right now while I'm searching for some assistance in the studio. (Thank you!)
• I look forward to seeing everyone this fall, it's usually the most creative time of the year. Have a beautiful week!

• Framing the unusual? You just found the perfect place!

I set out in 2010 in Charlottesville to join the world of independent framers and feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by all of my creative clients (and gallery artists) and their beautiful work - every day!

If you're on the hunt for a great frame, look no further than our showroom & gallery here in Historic Gordonsville (worth the beautiful drive!) • I love anything from traditional and hand gilded to super-modern with a bright pop of color.

Recognizing what you feel is beautiful is my favorite part of the process. Design is by appointment so that you and I have all the time and peace you need to create something you will love.

You can find Cavallo at 117 S. Main Street in historic , and our gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays (details on our website).

(Bring a friend when you visit and explore the rest of Main Street while you're here!)

I look forward to working with you! ~ Beate

New to the area? Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. 🩵

One of the things I love most about Gordonsville is the wonderful mix of people, creativity, history, and small-town spirit that makes this community so special.

Cavallo Gallery is a place to discover beautiful art & framing, find something meaningful for your sanctuary, get inspired, or simply take a little time to enjoy the creative side of life. I believe that great design makes all the difference!

Whether you’re looking for a special piece or just wandering down Main Street and seeing what will cross your path, we hope you’ll stop in and say hello.

Welcome to the area—and welcome to the gallery!

• Welcome back! It's a super busy week here, so just a few updates!

• Woodberry Forest based artist James Erickson stopped by yesterday with a great new body of work - I will be framing a selection of those and sharing them with you over the next few weeks. A few beautiful pieces have already made it to our walls, so stop by soon to see what's new!

• I'm finishing a big, beautiful order for a special project in Richmond this week, so limited appointments for framing will be available (call today to block off your solo design time!)

• We have some great new neighbors who will be joining un on Main Street in the next few months! Main Street is working on a new website for you so that you can stay up to date ~ we're excited!

• "Summer of Steam" happens every Friday: take a scenic nostalgic train ride from Louisa to Gordonsville and enjoy a few weeks along Main Street before you hop back on to return to Louisa (July & August).

Thank you all so much, have a beautiful week, see you on Main Street! B.
