Besh Ba Gowah Archaeological Park and Museum

Besh Ba Gowah Archaeological Park and Museum Step into the past and explore the mystery of the Salado culture of the Southwest. Besh Ba Gowah is owned and operated by the City of Globe.

Take a self-guided tour of the pueblo, view pottery, stone, and woven artifacts in the museum and wander botanical gardens displaying plants used by these ancient people. This specific park is what is called and Archaeological Interpretive Site. The site consists of an Indian Ruin and a Museum that houses artifacts excavated on site. There is a also a short botanical garden trail as well as an ethno-botanical garden.

Join us for our 37th Annual Festival of Lights on Saturday December 6th, 2025, 5-9pm. Walk amongst the glow of 4,000 live candle luminarias while enjoying cultural presentations by the world-famous Yellow Bird Dance productions. Admission to the event is FREE while we encourage non-perishable food donations to help support local food pantries. Event parking is located at the Globe Community Center adjacent to the museum with additional parking located at 230 S. Broad St. (Historic Train Depot) with FREE shuttle services.
