💐🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, our Lodge community paid homage to the practice of “Decoration Day” by adorning our Masonic Cemetery with flowers. Each and every grave marker. In addition to our brethren who sacrificed everything on the battlefield, we remember their families and friends for carrying on their example in Fredericksburg across the 18th and 19th Centuries.

Tonight Fredericksburg Lodge had the distinct honor of hosting the 2026 Reunion of the Founding Lodges event—a tradition where representatives of the Lodges which formed the Grand Lodge of Virginia in 1778 come together to break bread, share memories, meet new brothers, and reunite under common cause.

This year, we offered in-depth tours of our historic 1816 building and artifacts followed by behind-the-scenes tours of the Fredericksburg Area Museum’s 250th exhibit. The evening concluded with a fine meal at Ristorante Renato and a keynote address by M.W. Jeffery Hodges, Past Grand Master of Masons in Virginia.

Thank you to all who traveled to Fredericksburg and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Though we are a historic organization with timeless traditions, there’s always room for innovation! For our latest Entered Apprentice degree conferral, we retrofitted the wall fixtures with new candelabra light bulbs to give our 1816 Old Lodge Room some authentic atmosphere.
