Today was the last official day for our Graduate Assistant Megan. You may have seen her here over the years in many different roles as she went from a student worker to the GA. She was a tour docent, at Funday Sundays, teaching in STEAM or Art, helping prep for activities and exhibits, and so much more. She is in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program here at UF and moving into her final clinical rotations. We wish her the best of luck and will miss her greatly here at Mazza!

We were delighted the Mazza Museum was selected as the location on campus for First Lady Fran DeWine to receive her Honorary Doctorate. Through her work, Mrs. DeWine has helped Ohio children receive 28 million books through the Imagination Library of Ohio. She has also been the inspiration behind over 50 Storybook Trails in our state. Her promotion of literacy is a mission she shares with the Mazza.

The University of Findlay today presented Ohio’s First Lady Fran DeWine with an Honorary Doctorate of Arts and Letters.

It was wonderful to have Catherine K. Gyllerstrom back for the opening reception of "Tell Me a Story: Fairy Tale Art" in the Lea Gallery. The collection highlights 26 pieces from 14 different artists. The details in the artwork, and even the frames, is one you don't want to miss! It can be viewed through October 30. Special thanks to Valerie Escobedo, Beverly Fanning, and the UF Art Department for helping to make this exhibition possible.
