La Historia Society Museum

La Historia Society Museum La Historia Historical Society Museum is a 501C3 non profit organization established in 1998 by residents of the El Monte community.

The museum’s objective is to preserve the history of the community’s neighboring barrios dating back to the early 1900’s. It has achieved other accomplishments. For example, there are fundraising events throughout the year to continue operations of the organization; also food and toy give-aways are provided for the families in need during the holidays. The museum has also partnered with the educat

ional system by providing documentation of early California history and is used as a resource center for graduates and undergraduates from California State University, Los Angeles.
