On October 22, 1781, the Bucks County Treasury was robbed by the infamous Doan Gang 💰 This story and many other exploits of this infamous crew are chronicled in our special exhibition “The Doan Gang: Outlaws of the Revolution,” currently on display at the Mercer Museum. But the story doesn’t end there…

Starting in 2025 and then earlier again this year, we partnered with Stony Hill Archaeological Research and students in the archaeological technician program at Bucks County Community College for an excavation at the site of the robbery 🪏
