Brooklyn residents can now apply to become a Host or Gallerist with Gallery Particulier.

Hosts enjoy artwork at home for six months, for free, while helping support artists by sharing their work. Gallerists can also host private viewings, help sell artworks, and earn a commission.

A screening process helps ensure each artwork is safe.

Meet Torild Stray

A visionary painter moving between Norway and New York, Torild Stray creates work shaped by memory, place, melancholy color, and the emotional weight of history.

Her practice carries both intimacy and scale, from the quiet atmosphere of her studio to works connected to New York’s 9/11 remembrance.

Follow to see more of her work.

UNBOXED: BLACK FATHERS ARE PRESENT continues at Alex House Project, bringing Dáreece Walker’s powerful images of Black fatherhood directly to young adults navigating parenthood.

Created by Brooklyn artist Dáreece Walker, Unboxed confronts the stereotype of the absent Black father by centering presence, care, tenderness, and family. After an extraordinary response at Gallery Particulier, the exhibition now continues in a space where the work can speak directly to the lives of the community it serves.

This is part of Gallery Particulier’s mission: bringing art to people, instead of waiting for people to come to the art.
