We loved filming at Midwest Railway Preservation Society
Did you know that the film "The Natural" with Robert Redford was also filmed there? Amazing location and beautiful preserved trains.
Saw your car in Denver today, parked next to the Big Boy. Told the car attendant that I am an old MRHFer, but he didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about 😁.
🚂 Have you heard (or seen) the news? All aboard our efforts to expand outdoor education programs!
The first step? Renovating the C & O Caboose, located for nearly 30 years behind our building.
“This renovation project is a first step toward strengthening OECC’s position as an important provider of Nature-Based Education to children in our area,” said David Sonner, Board Member for the center.
“Our ultimate goal is to utilize the amazing resources and beautiful outdoor space at the childhood center to help connect children to nature and increase their innate qualities of curiosity, risk-taking and appreciation and understanding of food sourcing.”
Special thank-yous to the supporters of this project, including:
❤ City of Oberlin
❤ Bendix Corporation Commercial Vehicle Systems (Bendix Be Healthy)
❤ Midwest Railway Preservation Society
❤ OECC Board Members
❤❤❤❤ ...and the children, their families, and past and present staff, who have shown love and respect for that old caboose over the years!

What's the story on ABRX SW1500 1501 headed to you?
1977
my passion project in google maps. It appears the HUB is a real possibility. Borrowed some of this from All Aboard.. Had to get some Ohio State colors, those michigan colors weren't cutting it. Restoring a few wyes would allow the entire train to be turned at independence and akron. I have other ideas wishes. I just hate to see the tracks in some of these areas being abandoned and withering away... if some how I happen to inherit 100s of millions...A round house for the CVSR would be awesome! It would be nice to see the 3rd street round house restored. I hope some day 4070 will run these rails again.
