Midwest Railway Preservation Society We are dedicated to collecting, preserving, restoring, displaying, and operating railway equipment for the education and enjoyment of the public.

MRPS Membership is 100% volunteer, including our Board and Officers. We are from every age, profession, background and Skill level. Some of us love steam; others are hooked on diesel. Some of us volunteer at the Roundhouse; some simply support what we are doing through their Membership dues. But there is one thing we all have in common: the determination to preserve the equipment and facilities of Northeast Ohio railroading past.

Late night truck painting on the Palm Point car. These trucks where sand blasted and welding up some small minor cracks. We will be changing them over to rotating end caps bearings. They had the old plain bearing from 1929

We sand blasting the 2 trucks for the Palm Point. There are some cracks that needed welding some wood spacers need replace and broken bolts that need replaced. Then we will paint them and change them over to rotateding end cap roller bearings. Right now it has plain bearings.
