TRANSLUCENT: Works About Transparency & Translucency

Submission Deadline: September 11, 2026

"Setting something behind glass both rarefies and reveals, like a snow globe, terrarium, or glass-bottomed boat."

TRANSLUCENT is a call for works that employ, depict, or explore translucency and transparency. Glass, acrylic, plastic, stacks of layers, gossamer weaves, lenses, and filters are just some of the materials, subjects, and mechanisms that may pierce, reveal, and distort.

Includes an honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist, and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view.

IMPRINT: An International Call for Contemporary Works of Printmaking

Submission Deadline: September 12, 2026

"As a creative discipline, it represents an early awakening of the individual’s potential to gain broad knowledge and widely disseminate facts, opinions, and expression. In this sense, printmaking might be understood as an early form of social media."

IMPRINT invites artists to submit works of printmaking and explores the range of methods and results being achieved within the expansive bounds of these processes.

Includes an honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist, and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view.

TAPPED: 17th Annual Exhibit of Paired Works by Artists and their Current or Former Instructors*

Submission Deadline: September 13, 2026

"The relationship between artists and their current or former instructors can be a powerful one. Even when this bond is left unstated, we carry our professors' voices forward in time as we mature as artists and people."

Out of respect for the artist-teacher bond, and in honor of instructors working hard to help artists tap into a higher mind relative to art and life, we offer TAPPED every year, an annual exhibit that presents paired works of art by current or former artist/teacher pairs.

Includes an honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist, and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view.

SIX DAYS. $7,000 TO GO.

Manifest’s 22nd season closes on August 31, and we are $7,000 short of matching last season’s Annual Fund support.

Annual Fund gifts directly determine how much Manifest can provide in scholarships and discounted access to studio programming. They also give our small staff the capacity to keep our exhibitions, studios, publications, artist support, and public programs moving forward while major work continues on our permanent home.

Capital support secures the home. Annual Fund support sustains what will happen inside it.

A gift of any size today will help us finish Season 22 strong and carry that momentum into Season 23.

MAKE YOUR ANNUAL FUND GIFT OF ANY AMOUNT, EVEN $1, BY AUGUST 31:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=DUK2RXJ2UJ8P2&source=url

If you have already given, our entire team is grateful for your support.

HYPERVIEW: An International Call for Works About Vastness and Scale

Submission Deadline: August 23, 2026

HYPERVIEW is a call for works about scale, largeness, and vastness, both formal and conceptual.

Includes an honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist, and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view.
