The red sculpture by Lasha Khadasheli is a prized fixture in our back yard especially now that our red camellias are in full bloom. We had no idea how beautiful Lasha's sculpture would look when we selected its location. BTW, its name is "Cardinal".

Spring is bursting out all over! Well, at least at the Gallery at Carillon in Charlotte. Paintings by Charlotte artist Stephanie Neely has created a beautiful exhibition of paintings that will make you forget the below-freezing temps and put you in a "Spring at last" state of mind. Gallery is open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and is located at 227 West Trade Street.

A beautiful exhibition of paintings by North Carolina artist Tony Griffin is on display in Charlotte at the Gallery at Carillon through December 31st. The artwork can be seen from 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily and it's open to the public.

One of our favorite things to do this time each year is to drive through South Carolina peach country to view the trees in bloom. We always get anxious as we think about the possibility of freezing weather that threatens the crops. The peach trees are grown along side of acres of strawberries that appear to be in the early stages of blooming. Landscape artists should have a field day painting these beautiful scenes.
