The So Cal Wing is one of the largest units in the CAF. Established in 1981, the So Cal wing has 12 aircraft on display and is open to the public.

Our mission is to honor American Military Aviation through flight, exhibition, and remembrance. Our Mission: To Educate, Inspire, and Honor through flight and living history experiences. The Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is an all-volunteer organization, with members from all walks of life, dedicated to preserving the history of WWII aircraft for generations to come. The CAF is a non-profit 501(c)3, privately funded and totally self-supporting organization.

“A generation which ignores history has no past, and no future” – Robert Heinlein. The CAF was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States, and selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans. More than just a collection of airworthy warplanes from the past, the CAF’s fleet of historic aircraft, known as the CAF Ghost Squadron, recreate, remind and reinforce the lessons learned from the defining moments in American military aviation history. How was your Saturday? Ours was amazing! CAF Airbase Arizona gave back-to-back B-17 tours and rides, and we also did our monthly PBJ ride. Make sure you come by tomorrow, 9/13, as it’s the LAST day to see the B-17, before they leave for their next stop!
